Gamification

Gamification (n). The application of game theory, gaming principles, or game mechanics in a non-gaming environment.

Funny enough, gamification - as a principle - has been around a lot longer than the word itself. The Boy Scouts gave badges as reward for completing tasks back in 1908. Grocery stores and retail shops have had 'Buy X get Y Free" stamps and coupons for as long as I can remember. And, clearly, World of Warcraft wouldn't have been nearly as popular as it was without its dopamine-tickling mechanics to keep you coming back for more.

Gamification is more than just badges and achievements. It's creating a culture of engagement in your brand or business. Gamification can work for any campaign, whether it's internal engagement for education, or external engagement to increase brand loyalty.

Gamification Audit

We'll take some time to sit down with your brand or business to determine the best "roadmap" - where you are, where you want to be, and the challenges/obstacles you have to face to get there. We'll also identify the key 'players' in the gaming construct, and how to best engage with them in ways that keep them coming back for more. You'll leave the audit process with a clear vision - and documentation - on what to do next.

Education + Training

Whether it's a few hours for lunch or a full day workshop, Mitch can come to your brand or business and showcase the ins-and-outs of Gamification - foundational principles, case studies, and examples to get people 'sold' on the idea of Gamification as a necessary marketing function. With plenty of gaming examples, these speaking sessions are both entertaining and informative.
